Beware of Melanie - I went into the Proctorville Post Office and wanted to purchase a money order which could be sent to Canada and cashed in Canada. Melanie the woman who set all of this up for me said that she was pretty sure that'd it'd be able to be cashed in Canada, so I purchased a money order from her for $720. About 1 week later I received a call from the receiver of my money order saying that the money order that they received was only cashable in America, so they sent the money order back to me. I went back to the post office on Sunday and was told by Melanie that the post office didn't have $720 to refund to me, and to come back on Monday. I went back to the post office on Monday and was told that if I do not have an American drivers license that they cannot refund me $720. I asked them if they could use other means of identification, they said no. So although Melanie remembers selling me the money order, she denies it was her mistake and will not do anything to help me. When it comes to peoples money there is no room for error or mistakes, I find it hard to believe that they'd employ someone with little knowledge on the type of products/services she's suppose to be providing. Thankfully when I took the SCREWED up money order to Chase bank they helped me, because the Proctorville Post Office certainly did not. If Chase bank couldn't have helped me I would be SCREWED OUT OF MY MONEY and $720 POORER. So if you happen to go to the Proctorville Post Office BEWARE OF MELANIE, she lacks knowledge, she just acts like she knows what she's talking about. Beware of the Proctorville Postmaster aswell, he sticks up for Melanie, and he told me that I should know what I am buying, meanwhile it's their jobs to provide accurate information to us customers about their products/services.
